My name Is Genevieve Mellott. I have over a decade of marketing and graphic design experience. For eight years, I edited, designed, and published a 44-page playbill magazine for a popular Central-Virginia theatre, working with advertisers and print companies to produce a robust digest for each Mainstage play – every 6 weeks during most seasons. It was my favorite part of my job. When I moved to Firestone, one of the first things I noticed – aside from how wonderful the area is – was that there are very few media outlets targeted to US. We are not Longmont, Boulder, Greeley, or Fort Collins, and we have our own cultural flavor.
Local residents deserve to have a great little publication they can enjoy reading and be proud to call their hometown magazine. Think about the last time you picked up a really nice Colorado magazine. Maybe it was Colorado Life, 5280, Longmont Magazine, or NOCO… it felt good to see our state represented through the colorful pages while reading, enjoying, or perhaps learning from the words and images. Now imagine the feeling of seeing our own community within vibrant, high-quality pages, with stories about people and topics you really care about, things you enjoy, places you see every day (and perhaps would like to see in a new light.)
Imagine no more. Announcing your new resource for relevant topics, people, places, businesses, and more… Carbon Valley Life.
